    Our Mission

Where law and advocacy meet the arts.

The Creative Trust is The Legacy Foundation's arts-centered legal and advocacy program. We provide direct pro-bono legal services, rights education, mentorship, and safety resources for emerging and working artists. Executive Director Anthony Clemenza is an entertainment lawyer who practices law through The Creative Trust, supported by additional volunteer pro-bono counsel. Through contract review, intellectual-property protection, business formation, and career support, we help artists protect their work, build sustainable careers, and shape industries on their own terms.

“Protecting the work and the person behind it.”

    — The promise of The Creative Trust

    Two Ways In

    Whether you make the work
    or help protect it

The Creative Trust serves the artists who need protection and the professionals who provide it.

    For Artists & Creatives

Emerging in music, film, theater, fashion, or the visual arts? Request attorney-supervised legal service and advocacy to protect your work, your rights, and yourself — so you can build a career on your own terms.

    For Attorneys & Industry

Lend your expertise where it changes a life. Volunteer attorneys, mentors, and executives strengthen our direct, attorney-led service for the next generation of talent — on a flexible, vetted commitment.

    What We Do

Protection that meets artists where they are

Direct pro-bono contract review, IP protection, and business formation

Advocacy and safety resources for women in fashion & entertainment

Career development, branding, and industry education workshops

Mentorship from attorneys, executives, and creative professionals

    How It Works

From first call to lasting protection

    01

    Tell us what you need

Share your project, contract, or concern through a confidential intake. No legalese required — just tell us your story.

    02

An attorney-led team reviews your matter

Human staff and attorneys review your request and determine the right service path. Anthony Clemenza leads the program's legal service, supported by additional volunteer pro-bono counsel.

    03

    Receive practical legal protection

When eligible and within scope, receive direct pro-bono service for contracts, IP and trademarks, business formation, or advocacy and safety. Matters outside scope or capacity receive an appropriate referral.

    04

    Build on solid ground

Leave with your work protected and the knowledge to keep protecting it as your career grows.

In Partnership with Stage Door Society

    Funding for your art, curated

Protection is only half the story. Through our partnership with Stage Door Society, we point artists toward arts-specific grants, fellowships, and competitions — so the right opportunity is never out of reach.

    Get Involved

Protect the work. Protect the person.

Whether you need protection or you can provide it, The Creative Trust is where law, advocacy, and the arts meet.
