More Ways to Give
Give in the Way That
Fits Your Life
Beyond the donate button: donor-advised funds, appreciated stock, employer matching, and gifts that outlast us all.
Donor-Advised Funds
Recommend a Grant
If you give through a donor-advised fund — Fidelity Charitable, Schwab Charitable, Vanguard Charitable, Daffy, or any sponsoring organization — recommending a grant to The Legacy Foundation takes a few minutes in your sponsor's portal. Your sponsor will need the details below.
- Legal name
- The Legacy Foundation
- Tax status
- 501(c)(3) Public Charity
- EIN
- 20-4557510
DAF grants often arrive without donor information. If you'd like us to know the gift came from you — and we would — send a note to donations@supportlegacy.org so we can thank you properly.
Stock, Securities & Wire
Give Appreciated Assets
Donating appreciated stock or securities held longer than a year is often the most tax-efficient way to give: you may deduct the full fair-market value and avoid capital gains tax on the appreciation — a larger gift to the mission at a lower cost to you. We also accept gifts by wire transfer and check.
For transfer instructions — DTC details for securities, or wire details for cash gifts — contact our team and we'll respond within one business day.
Please consult your tax advisor about the treatment of your specific gift.
Wine, Art, Vehicles & More
Give a Gift of Property
Some of the most efficient gifts aren't cash. Fine wine, fine art, a vehicle, jewelry, or other valuable property can often be donated at full fair-market value while avoiding the capital gains a sale would trigger. We place each gift through a reputable consignment, auction, or sale partner — and handle the logistics end to end, so you don't ship or coordinate a thing.
Gifts over $5,000 generally require a qualified appraisal (IRS Form 8283); vehicles follow Form 1098-C rules. Please consult your tax advisor.
Employer Matching
Double Your Gift
Thousands of employers match their employees' charitable gifts — often dollar for dollar, sometimes more. A few minutes of paperwork can double the seats, books, and mentorship hours your gift funds.
