    Planned Giving

    Leave a
    Legacy

A gift in your will costs nothing today and opens doors for young people you may never meet. It is, quite literally, how a legacy is built.

    A Gift in Your Will

    The Most Enduring Gift

A charitable bequest is a gift made through your will or living trust. It requires no money now, can be changed at any time, and may reduce the estate-tax burden on those you love. For many supporters, it is the largest gift they will ever make — and the one that carries their values forward.

Whatever you choose, you join a quiet circle of people who decided that opportunity should outlast them.

    For Your Attorney

I give and bequeath to The Legacy Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN 20-4557510), [the sum of $______ / ______ percent of my estate / the residue of my estate / a specific asset], to be used for its general charitable purposes.

Legal name: The Legacy Foundation · EIN: 20-4557510

    Beyond the Will

    Beneficiary Designations

    Retirement accounts

Name The Legacy Foundation as a beneficiary of your IRA, 401(k), or 403(b). Because we're tax-exempt, the full amount supports the mission — unlike heirs, who may owe income tax on these assets.

    Life insurance

Name us as a beneficiary, or transfer ownership of a policy you no longer need. Either path turns a modest premium into a meaningful future gift.

    Donor-advised fund successor

Name The Legacy Foundation as a successor or beneficiary of your DAF, directing remaining funds to our work when the time comes.

Tell Us, So We Can Thank You

A legacy gift carries no obligation, and you can change it anytime. But if you've named us in your plans — or you're considering it — we'd be honored to know, and to welcome you personally. Your intentions remain entirely confidential.

The Legacy Foundation does not provide legal or tax advice. Please consult your own advisors about your specific situation.
