A 4.1-million-acre national park in southern Alaska, world-famous for the densest concentration of brown bears on Earth. Each summer at Brooks Falls, dozens of bears gather to catch migrating sockeye salmon — the centerpiece of the annual "Fat Bear Week" event each October. The bear cams are operated by Katmai Conservancy in partnership with the National Park Service and explore.org.
