About This Camera
Each summer the world's densest concentration of brown bears gathers at Brooks Falls in Alaska's Katmai National Park to catch migrating sockeye salmon. The bears are individually named and numbered by park rangers, and each October the cam audience votes in "Fat Bear Week" — a beloved annual celebration of the bears' pre-hibernation weight gain. Operated by Katmai Conservancy with the National Park Service and explore.org.
